You can choose to push it further and get the optional 5.7 L HEMI V8 engine with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. maximum torque. With the Big Horn variant, you will also have the choice between the two engines (Pentastar V6 or HEMI V8). The Sport variant only offers the 5.7 L HEMI V8. The Rebel, on the other hand, gives you the choice between the HEMI V8 and the 3.0 L Turbo-Diesel V6 with 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. maximum torque.
The Laramie, Limited Longhorn and Limited variants offer the choice between a 5.7 L HEMI V8, a 5.7 L HEMI V8 with the eTorque system, 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. of maximum torque, as well as a 3.0 L Turbo-Diesel V6. Very recently, RAM added the TRX variant, the most powerful of all RAMs, with a 6.2 L HEMI SRT V8. This RAM has 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. maximum torque. A real beast!
